The old saying goes “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” but why not make a great thing even better!? The Slim Twist Pen has been a popular product by far for years now. Ooze fans all over the globe love this device, but they decided there was room for improvement. 

 

We are so excited to announce the release of the brand new and improved Ooze Twist Slim Pen 2.0! This 510 thread vape pen has all the OG Slim Twist features you’ve learned to love, plus a bunch more. This device has a sleeker look, 18 new colors and finishes, and tons of new features we will discuss below! 

Way Better Battery Life 

As very frequent pen users, we know better than anyone how annoying it is go to hit your pen and it just flashes at you. It’s not a nice feeling to be out of the house without the option to rip your pen. Improving the device’s battery life was the top priority for Ooze. 

The Twist Slim Pen 2.0 is equipped with an automatic shut-off function now. It turns itself off after 12 minutes of inactivity. This goes a crazy long way in making the battery last between charges. If you are currently getting a few days of use out of each charge with your Slim Twist 1.0, you can expect at least a week, if not more, with the new 2.0! 

Stop Burning Out Your Cartridges 

If you’re someone who likes to rip their pen on the highest voltage for the thickest, biggest clouds, you’re probably familiar with the gross, burnt taste that happens after a few sessions. The coil on the bottom of the cartridge is pretty delicate, and doesn’t like super-hot temps.  It can burn out easily, and after that, there’s no going back; it’s going to have a bad taste  

The 1.0 pen has a maximum voltage of 4.8V, and through our years of experience, we’ve learned that that is unnecessarily hot. The 2.0 version has a lower voltage range, 2.0V-4.0V, which is a safer zone for your precious cartridge. The terpenes in your oil also prefer lower temperatures, so even if the clouds aren’t as massive, they will be a lot more flavorful. 

The flex temp dial on the bottom of the pen is still how you control the temperature. Now, each level is a notch that clicks into place, so you’ll always be 100% sure what the exact voltage level is. This subtle improvement, plus the solid, weighty feel in your hand and the longer, sleeker look make this pen just ooze sophistication! 

Vape While It’s Charging 

The Twist Slim 2.0 still includes the classic Ooze Smart USB Charger that you’ve grown to know and love. This 510 thread charger screws into the top like a cartridge and has an indicator light to let you know when your vape is fully charged. It also has a very important auto shut-off function that stops the flow of energy from the port into the battery as soon as it’s full. Other chargers' overcharge, which kills the battery life over time. 

If you choose to use the 510 charging method, you MUST use your Ooze charger! Screwing on a non-Ooze charger will immediately void your warranty. It’s the only way to make sure you get the most out of your device. The new 2.0 has a new, second charging port! A type-C port (charger sold separately) is right by the button. 

Plus in a type-C charger, and since you don’t need to replace the cartridge with a charger, you can still use the pen while it’s charging! Stop letting a low battery kill your vibe.  

Your Pen Wants to Chat 

The first thing you’ll notice when you fire up the new Twist Slim 2.0 is that it gives a little buzz as soon as it’s turned on. Known as the “pulse wave technology” which is essentially your pen talking to you and letting you know what’s up. 

You’ll feel a single pulse when the device turns on and off. It’ll give two pulses when it makes a connection with a cartridge, charger, or other attachment. When you screw it on, if you feel the 2 little buzzes, you’ll know you are good to go. If it doesn’t buzz, that means there’s a connection issue. There might be a little oil residue or dirt between the battery and the attachment that’s getting in the way, or the coil may be crooked. 

Make sure the coil is on straight, and if you see any grime on either piece’s connection, take a Res Wipe and give it a scrub. Make sure both sides are dry and screw them back together. Hopefully, you’ll feel those pulses and can start puffing away. If you’re still having trouble, you can file a warranty claim so the Ooze team can assist! 

Two Ways to Take a Rip 

 

The power button on the original Slim Twist is the only way to heat the device so you can take a hit. The button still functions this way on the 2.0, but it’s just an option! The Twist Slim 2.0 is now an auto draw device, which means you can simply inhale to get your fix. It actually has a teeny-tiny little microphone inside that can detect the sound of your inhale, isn’t that fun!? 

Clicking the power button twice activates a gentle heat cycle that we call Prep Mode. If you’re a frequent pen smoker, you’ve encountered the annoying cartridge clog. Stop straining your lungs trying to clear it on your own, and instead run a cycle of Prep Mode before each session. This does wonders to clear any clogs in the airway. If it’s a big enough clog, you might even hear it crackle and clear itself out! Do yourself a favor and make your life easier.

We know this has been a favorite for years now, so don’t fret, it’s still available! The Slim Twist 1.0 color line will be slimming down, but we will still offer a variety of classic colors. You can grab the original that started it all here.
